Mal Corboy of Mal Corboy Kitchen Concepts, has lead a wide and varied career from cabinetmaker to train driver.  Orginally from Perth the New Zealand based kitchen designer is now making a name for himself here and around the world.

In 1999 he became a member of the NKBA and entered their prestigious awards for the first time in 2001.  In 2002 he won the NKBA Kitchen Designer of the Year - to date he is the only Student Designer to achieve this honour.  Since then he has won every year he has entered, with a total of thirteen awards over the past seven years.

Now he has surpassed this by winning the top award at the Austalian Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute Awards.  Mal Corboy was anounced this week as the 2009 winner of Kitchen Designer of the Year.
