Gigacer was one of only two winners (from 624 exhibitors) of the ADI Ceramics & Bathroom Design Award 2022 for the best product, presenting the TERRA collection. The series was awarded for its innovative earth-inspired material effect, its essential and natural aesthetics, its resistance, irregularity and uniqueness.
GIGACER is a highly technical company driven by Italian and European Architects with a need for large size slabs in full-body homogeneous production. This market requires excellent technical characteristics and the possibility of designing without considering the dimensions of the materials as a limit.

Of considerable note is the comprehensive nature of their ranges which encompasses varying tile formats, thickness (of particluar interest thin 6mm) and colours for any type of surface: floors and walls, furniture, and facades.

Innovation
The GIGACER production process starts from large porcelain slabs of 1200x2500mm that can be cut into various sizes and shapes whilst managing to retain their excellent technical characteristics. This creates an opportunity for design without considering the dimensions of the materials as a limit.
Technology
GIGACER’s equipment uses an innovative technology called Continua. This technology uses a pre-compacting phase before pressing, that allows the achievement of special decorative effects without using glazes, instead of distributing the porcelain mixed powders. The firing at 1300° guarantees total vitrification and strength of the body.
Environmental responsibility
GIGACER is committed to the safety of its workers and the environment and this is seen in the choices it makes. Its packaging uses less cardboard and no adhesives, emissions are a lot lower than those currently allowed by law, and attention to the safe working environment of their staff is high.

TERRA | CONCRETE | CONCEPT
The atavistic call of the primordial was the inspiration for the new Terra range, an essential, primitive look which conjures up nature’s intrinsic characteristics, its resilience,
irregularity and uniqueness. Matter dried by the sun, transformed by natural agents giving it the lived-in look telling of the passage of time and thus replete with memories and evocations.

Concrete is a complete colour and size system with a palette in neutral and natural shades. Thirteen colours and four different surfaces adapt to different needs. The same colour can be used from inside to outside, for floors, walls, and even kitchen tops and bathroom furniture facades!

Concept 1 uses technical solutions that have a multiplicity of uses - indoors, outdoors, on walls and furniture facades. A unique ceramic range with a fine, tone-on-tone surface, which does not alter the colour.
