25 YEAR PORCELAIN

GUARANTEE

1. Scope of Guarantee
This Guarantee is in addition to the requirements under the Consumer Guarantees Act and covers porcelain floor and wall tiles imported 
by Tile Warehouse Ltd against manufacturing defects for 25 years from original invoice/supply date, subject to the conditions outlined below.


2. Guarantee Coverage
This guarantee applies only to:
• Tiles that are manufactured and classified as porcelain according to ISO 13006 / EN 14411, Group BIa, with a water absorption rate ≤ 0.5%.
• Tiles that are properly installed, maintained, and used in accordance with the Seller’s installation and care
guidelines and the NZTC Tiling guide and AS/NZ standards.
The Seller warrants that the tiles:
• Will not wear through the glaze under normal residential foot traffic.
• Will remain frost, stain, and water-resistant under conditions appropriate for porcelain tiles.
• Will retain their structural integrity and surface finish under normal use conditions.


3. Exclusions and Limitations
This guarantee does not cover:
• Improper installation, including but not limited to, inadequate subfloor preparation, inadequate allowance of expansion joints, incorrect adhesive or grout use, or movement in the substrate.
• Damage caused by structural shifting, settling, impact, or exposure to chemical or environmental conditions beyond normal use.
• Variation in colour, tone, or shade, which is inherent in all fired ceramic and porcelain products. Once installed, colour and tone are deemed accepted as these are aesthetic, not technical, issues.
• Tile installed in extreme conditions that exceed the technical performance of the porcelain and/or glaze hardness.
Porcelain, Tile or stone products not imported by Tile Warehouse Limited into NZ from our overseas suppliers, For clarity this exclusion will cover materials sourced under request from customers from local importers and also any dealers or Tile Warehouse resellers who sell tile and stone products not sourced from Tile Warehouse.

 

• Tiles installed in commercial or industrial environments, unless specifically approved in writing.
• Defects caused by improper cleaning methods, abrasive chemicals, acids, abuse, misuse or neglect.
• Costs associated with removal, reinstallation, labour, transportation, or consequential damages.


4. Seller’s Liability
The Seller’s liability under this Guarantee is strictly limited to:
• Replacement of defective tiles with equivalent products of comparable value; or
• Refund of the original purchase price for the defective tiles only, at the Seller’s discretion.
• No other warranties, express or implied (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose), are
provided.


5. Claim Procedure
To make a claim, the purchaser must:
• Provide proof of purchase and installation details.
• Submit photographs and a written description of the defect.
• Allow the Seller or an authorized representative reasonable access to inspect the site.
• All claims must be made within 30 days of discovery of the alleged defect.


6. Transferability
This Guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and original installation site.


7. Governing Law
This Guarantee shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

10 YEAR STANDARD TILE

GUARANTEE

1. Scope of Guarantee
This Guarantee is in addition to the requirements under the Consumer Guarantees Act and covers ceramic wall tiles imported by Tile Warehouse Ltd against manufacturing defects for 10 years from original invoice/supply date, subject to the conditions outlined below.


2. Guarantee Coverage
This guarantee applies only to:
•  Ceramic wall tiles.
• Tiles that are properly installed, maintained, and used in accordance with the Seller’s installation and care
guidelines and the NZTC Tiling guide and AS/NZ standards.
The Seller warrants that the tiles:
• Will not wear through the glaze under normal residential foot traffic.
• Will retain their structural integrity and surface finish under normal use conditions.
