The newly refurbished airport in New Plymouth has doubled the size of the previous building and now has the capacity to meet changing commercial trends. The terminal has a more open aspect with glazed walls and fewer internal obstructions.
Featured extensively throughout the concourse is the exclusive R10 rated VENEZIA range in Bianco, Grigio, and Nero in 600x600mm. Terrazzo-look has been trending across Europe and the rest of the world for some time now and lends itself perfectly to this expansive public space.
A special formulation of VENEZIA in red was also commissioned for installation of the red 'whale carving design', as seen in the images above.

Almost half a million passengers have passed through New Plymouth in 2020. The new terminal building was blessed by Te Atiawa on 13 March with a beautiful ceremony at sunrise. Puketapu as mana whenua hosted the blessing of close to 400 people. The terminal project consists of a new road leading past the new terminal as well as a new carpark layout. The new terminal can cater for up to 650,000 people.
The modular design of the new building allows for expansion as passenger numbers increase year to year.
